OurSQL Episode 90: Handle With Care

This week we present how to use pt-archiver and pt-find, two Percona Toolkit tools. We focus on the common usage of the tools and the gotchas we ran into using them.

The 1st Latin American Conference about MySQL, NoSQL and Cloud technologies will be held in Buenos Aires from Wednesday, June 27th through Friday, June 29th at the Puerto Madero Hilton Hotel.

MySQL Connect will be held in San Francisco on Saturday September 29th and Sunday September 30th, with a Saturday night reception. This is a technical conference about MySQL, bringing together MySQL engineers at Oracle and the MySQL Community, and will include sessions about the latest MySQL features and the MySQL feature roadmaps.

Percona Live: New York City 2012 will be held from Monday, Oct 1st through Tuesday Oct 2nd.

This week in at the movies, we present Roland Bouman talking about "Common Schema: A framework for mysql server administration". The code for common schema can be downloaded, and there is good documentation on what it does and how to use it.

Sheeri will be speaking about MySQL Security at the Central Virginia MySQL Meetup on Wednesday, May 16th.

Sheeri will be speaking at the OUG Harmony Conference in Finland about MySQL security and "Optimizing MySQL JOINs and Subqueries" on Wed May 30 2012.

Gerry will be at the Seattle MySQL Meetup, Monday June 4th. Sarah already let us know that there will be a speaker, but we haven't go all the info yet.

Sheeri will be speaking at Open Database Camp, co-located with the Southeast LinuxFest - Friday June 6th through Sunday June 8th, bringing both her Security talk and a talk on Intermediate MySQL Administration to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sheeri will be at the Boston MySQL User Group, Monday June 11th. We will meet at John Harvard's Brew Pub in Cambridge, MA for an informal gathering.

Sheeri and Gerry will both be speaking at the The 1st Latin American Conference about MySQL, NoSQL and Cloud technologies in Buenos Aires, Argentina from Tuesday, June 26 through Thursday, June 28th.
